Reimbursement & Coding

Coverage for active support surfaces

The True³ Digital System is a powered, active alternating-pressure support surface. Coverage and coding are determined by each payer's policy.

How support surfaces are covered

Powered pressure-reducing support surfaces are generally evaluated under durable medical equipment (DME) coverage policies. Coverage typically depends on the patient's clinical situation — for example, the presence and stage of a pressure ulcer, prior conservative care, and the care setting (home, long-term care, hospital outpatient, or inpatient).

Because criteria, codes, and allowable amounts change and vary by payer and geography, we work with your billing and coding entity rather than offering blanket coding guidance.
